The journey so far…
I grew up in northern California, about 20 minutes south of San Francisco. As a kid, I would spend my time organizing my stuffed animals into family groups, rearranging my room until it was juuuust right, and playing pretend secretary with my mom (which should have been the first sign that I would end up here…). My mom raised me with her love of nature, and I spent much of my childhood outside climbing trees and trying to catch all manner of critters. This passion led me to U.C. Santa Cruz, where I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Ecology.
…leading to this moment
I’ve worn many hats over the years, from biologist to bookseller to laboratory manager and more. I have learned invaluable skills in each position I’ve held that have prepared me for this role as a virtual assistant. My time as a biologist required extreme attention to detail and a multitude of data visualization skills; my time as a bookseller demanded excellent customer service and the ability to pivot at a moment’s notice; and my time as a project manager showed me the value in organization, visual aids, and the importance of outsourcing tasks when you need help.
